I have mentioned how I like to carry a small notebook or notepad with me during the week when I’m away from my computer because a lot of my work involves making calls. If I’m not at my desk, I sometimes need to write down a phone number, an email address, or some dates and times for scheduling a meeting. It’s frustrating when someone for work calls you back and you don’t have paper or a pen to quickly take notes. A lot of things can be accomplished on email, but there are still people who prefer to pick up the phone or to sort something out in a two minute conversation instead of four or five back and forth emails, and I appreciate that.
When I order ink, pens, or stationery accessories, I will often add a small notebook because I know that I will eventually use it. A few weeks ago, I ordered some ink from Vanness Pen Shop and added two Nava Design Minerva Switch notebooks because I was a few dollars short of free shipping. These $2 notepads have 24 sheets of grid lined paper and the covers resemble a matchbook. The notepad covers have a word on them and another letter below. The 4.7″ x 2.8″ paper is perforated, and it performs well with fountain pens. These notepads are ideal for short lists and short notes. These pocket notepads come in a variety of bright colors, except for the black with the irreverent F word. Overall, I’m impressed with these little notepads. They handle fountain pen ink beautifully with barely minimal bleed through on the opposite side of the page. The Minerva Switch notepads are the perfect size to tuck into your pocket.
