Chicana Writes is a blog about writing. The physical tools: pens, paper, handwriting, and all things stationery, but also exploring how the act of writing feels, and the things that feed our creativity. It’s about the various meanings attached to the act of writing analog.

Annemarie Perez: when she’s not playing with pens at her home in Santa Monica, California, Annemarie is an assistant professor of interdisciplinary studies at California State University Dominguez Hills. In her professional life, she writes about Chicanx literature, feminism, critical race theory, digital humanities, and, most recently Harry Potter.
